I received a new order to trim overgrown hedges and bushes at apartment buildings. The customer informed me that the hedges had not been trimmed for a year and needed to be cut as low as possible. Upon arriving at the site, I immediately noticed the largest hedge in the area, and it was not difficult to guess which houses I would be working on, as all the other houses on this street already had their hedges and bushes trimmed. There were three large apartment buildings, two large hedges between the buildings, a small number of small shrubs behind the buildings, private gardens maintained by the residents themselves, and at the end of the bus stop there were six large shrubs, some of which were already blocking the windows. I started by trimming the shrubs in front of the house and a small hedge. As usual, I cut everything on the side of the hedge and started trimming from the top. It was clear that the hedge had not been trimmed evenly, as there were many thick branches at the top, and I had to use a chainsaw for this. Then I immediately transferred all the cuttings to the trailer and cleared everything away. Then I moved on to another house on the other side to trim some bushes. There wasn't much work to do here, so I immediately collected everything in a green bag and started trimming in front of the house near the bus stop. I cut some of the bushes with ease, but I had to use a ladder for two large ones, as it was difficult to cut them due to the thick, overgrown branches. When I finished, I cut the ivy on the wall, giving it an even shape, and started cleaning up, gathering everything with a pitchfork and immediately transferring it to the trailer. Then, using a rake, I gathered everything into piles and packed it into bags. I left the largest hedge for last and also started trimming the sides. It was clear that the residents themselves had probably trimmed the sides not too long ago, as it did not look too overgrown. Then I started trimming the top, but a parked car was in the way, and I was afraid that the cut branches might fall on it and damage it, so at some point I went to look for the owner of the car, but it didn't take long, as he was sitting in his garden. At my request, he moved the car, so I calmly continued my work. When I finished, I also cut some of the spruce and birch branches that were growing on the sidewalk, then started cleaning up. At some point, when I was gathering everything with a pitchfork, a woman approached me and asked why I was working alone, since there was too much work for one person. I said that was true, but that it was normal for me. Later, she told me that another company had done this work with three workers for a whole day, and they had not tried to do it well. I said that I was not used to wasting time and tried to do everything quickly so that I could move on to another job. In general, the job was finished, and I also trimmed other bushes, but I did not film that on video, otherwise I would have had to work until nightfall. The whole job took me about 9 hours and one fully loaded trailer.
